Our Ethos
Children are an integral part of The-River.
We want to make sure that children and young people feel that The-River is a place where they are welcomed, accepted and cared for.
What do we do on Sundays ?
During a Sunday Meeting,  the children usually stay in the main meeting for the first 20 minutes. This helps them to feel part of the whole group. They are then  taken by the children’s workers to a room adjacent to the main hall, where they can enjoy learning more about living a full life with God in a way which is appropriate to their age group. This will normally involve a mix of songs, stories, games, crafts and DVD clips. We encourage all children to go to the session, but if your child would prefer to stay in the main meeting with their parents, that’s fine!
Child Protection
It is most important to us that children are safe and secure at The-River. With  this in mind, we have a comprehensive Child Protection Policy (available on request). All those working with children and young people are required to consent to undertaking an enhanced disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau (a police check).
Hope to see you soon!
You and your children are welcome at The-River at any time – just turn up. We will make sure you are well looked after.

Messy Time
If your child is of primary school age, then please take a look at the “Easter Messy Week” page in the “Future Events” section of the web site (or just click the side panel).
